Candles have always been part of holiday celebrations. Whether it’s Christmas, Halloween, Easter or Hanukah, candles are there as a symbol of festivity. Candles come in all shapes and sizes but holiday candles are often tapered candles. They come in different colors – red and gold for Christmas and white with religious designs for Easter. Scented holiday candles add a certain fragrance to a room.
It is good to always remind about how to burn candles safely. Candles should be extinguished when it is within ½ inch of the bottom. Lighted candles should never be placed in an area with a draft. It will encourage dripping and smoking. It will also burn unevenly.
